Every upcoming SQE1 sitting with its FLK1 and FLK2 assessment weeks, seat reservation, payment and reschedule windows, the law cut-off date and results day — kept in step with the SRA calendar so you can plan your preparation backwards from exam day.
Per the SRA changes announced on 9 September 2026, each Functioning Legal Knowledge assessment (FLK1 and FLK2) drops from 180 to 170 single-best-answer questions, sat in two sessions of 85. The time allowed per session is unchanged at 2 hours 33 minutes, so the pace eases to about 1.8 minutes (108 seconds) per question. It applies to every candidate, first-time and re-sit, from the January 2027 sitting.

From January 2027 each session draws only on the subjects below (random order within the session). Solicitors Accounts appears in both FLK2 sessions — a wills context in Session 1, a property context in Session 2.
