Social Media Manager (Mandarin-speaking)
London, Great Portland Street (hybrid) · Full-time, permanent, 37.5 hours a week · £42,000 a year · Open since 1 August 2026
The role
Most of our students are Chinese-speaking law graduates, and most of them first hear about us on WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Douyin or YouTube. We're looking for someone to own those channels: someone who writes well in Chinese, has a good eye for video and design, and genuinely enjoys building a community around a subject that matters to people's careers.
What you'll do
- Plan and publish content across WeChat (公众号 and 视频号), Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Bilibili and YouTube.
- Write posts, script and edit short videos, and design graphics, brochures and landing-page copy in Chinese and English.
- Run campaigns around SQE sitting dates, results days, course launches and promotions.
- Host live Q&As and webinars with our tutors, and look after our student groups and enquiries.
- Keep an eye on the numbers — reach, engagement, enrolments — and tell us what's working and what to try next.
You'll be a good fit if you
- Speak and write Mandarin at native level, with confident professional English.
- Have a degree in marketing, communications, media, law or something related.
- Have two or more years' experience running social channels, ideally on the Chinese platforms.
- Are comfortable with tools like Canva, CapCut or Adobe, and with platform analytics.
- Are interested in law, legal careers or the SQE (a bonus if you've sat it yourself).
What we offer
- £42,000 a year, reviewed annually.
- 28 days' holiday a year including bank holidays, and a workplace pension.
- Hybrid working from our office on Great Portland Street.
- Free access to all CELE SQE courses and the PASS SQE app, plus a training budget.
Visas
You'll need the right to work in the UK. We're a licensed sponsor, so sponsorship may be possible for the right candidate — we can't promise it at application stage, so please tell us your current status when you apply.
How to apply
Send your CV, a few lines about yourself and links to accounts or content you've run to [email protected]. We've been recruiting for this role since 1 August 2026 and will keep reviewing applications until it's filled.
